My quick overview of smoothie essentials to make them tasty, nutritious and easy!
Keep lots of frozen fruit on hand! I love to include frozen banana that I slice and freeze after bananas are too ripe to eat raw. I also freeze fresh spinach for green smoothies. It has a better texture than already frozen spinach from the store.
Keep smoothie add-ins handy (like protein powders, unsweetened coconut flakes, flax seed, chia seed, cinnamon).
Keep a variety of nut butters handy to add a rich flavor to the smoothie along with healthy fats. Look for lower sugar varieties and ones without hydrogenated oils.
