I got a Fitbit this past week, and I am real excited about using it! I won’t draw any big conclusions yet or weigh in completely on my thoughts as I have only been using it a few days. However, I thought I would share a few initial thoughts:
- I think I was overestimating my calories burned. I am still figuring this out, but I am going to see how it goes for a few weeks before I draw any conclusions.
- It has already made me aware of how active I should be on average during a day, so I think it will challenge me in a good way to be more active.
- I also like the dashboard and reports. They are very easy to view and understand, and it synchs with My Fitness Pal.
- If I continue to find it valuable, I may upgrade to the wrist version. I need to see if it is worth it first.
Those are my quick thoughts for now. More on the Fitbit after I have used it some more.
Do you keep track of your activity level and how do you measure it?
What do you think so far? How is the integration with MFP?
I think it does well. I like that is synchs with my Galaxy so it is real time. And I don’t count on the calories till the end of the day or sometimes it might overestimate.
